At a glance
Purchases and remortgages
Mark a purchase or a remortgage as a buy-to-let and the quote is worked out for one.
Through a limited company
Where your conveyancer acts for limited companies, the quote offers the option and prices it in.
Leasehold and new build
Asked as you quote, so they are part of the price from the start.
Only what your conveyancer takes on
The quote offers only the options your conveyancer takes on, and tells you if a property’s value is above what they act on.
What the quote asks
Everything a buy-to-let quote is priced from is asked before you see a figure:
- the purchase price, or the property’s value on a remortgage
- the loan, and the lender
- whether it is a buy-to-let, and whether it is going through a limited company
- whether the property is leasehold or, on a purchase, new build
Addresses, contact details and the rest of the mortgage paperwork come once your client has accepted the quote.
Limited company purchases and remortgages
Buying or remortgaging through a limited company brings legal work of its own. Where the firm you are signed up with takes it on, the quote asks whether the property is going through a limited company and sets out what that adds, line by line, with the rest of the charges.

Questions
Common questions
- Can I quote a buy-to-let remortgage?
- Yes. Mark the remortgage as a buy-to-let, and the limited company option appears if your conveyancer offers it.
- Does the lender change the price?
- It can, so the quote asks for the lender before it works out a figure.
- What if a property is worth more than my conveyancer acts on?
- The quote tells you as you go, and a different solicitor may be assigned.
- How do I join?
- Register your business. We’ll be in touch to agree your tariff, and once your account is approved you can sign in and start quoting.
